I've Been Waiting, I've Been Waiting For This Moment

Lazy Eye by the Silversun Pickups

This song has been going through my head the entire weekend. I hope the rest of their music is as obsessive as this song. (and holy crapola that girl is gorgeous)

How Proud We Are

"I'm sorry that the situation has gotten to where it's got," he said. "But that's Washington, D.C., for you. You know, there's a lot of politics in this town."

This is our president. Quoted today in the L.A. Times (I can't remember if that is one that requires registration).

Give Me Strength

You are Strength

Courage, strength, fortitude. Power not arrested in the act of judgement, but passing on to further action, sometimes obstinacy.

This is a card of courage and energy. It represents both the Lion's hot, roaring energy, and the Maiden's steadfast will. The innocent Maiden is unafraid, undaunted, and indomitable. In some cards she opens the lion's mouth, in others she shuts it. Either way, she proves that inner strength is more powerful than raw physical strength. That forces can be controlled and used to score a victory is very close to the message of the Chariot, which might be why, in some decks, it is Justice that is card 8 instead of Strength. With strength you can control not only the situation, but yourself. It is a card about anger and impulse management, about creative answers, leadership and maintaining one's personal honor. It can also stand for a steadfast friend.

More Pictures With Cork

Three months ago I started planning my husband's 40th Surprise Birthday Party. Somehow as the date got closer I stopped writing anything here since I was afraid to give it away and it was pretty much the only thing on my mind.

The party was Saturday, it went off with very few issues and he was genuinely surprised (he says). The ladies that I have a special dinner with once a month came as well and managed to create more "cork art" for your viewing pleasure. It might just become a regular feature if they continue.

Mr Cork says, "Happy Fortieth Birthday, AmigaBoy!"
